Reading with Mrs. Morris
4th grade
Please check this page weekly or as needed so that you are up to date on what to expect in Mrs. Morris' classroom.

Agendas will be sent home every day.

Homework will be written in agendas every day. If your child forgets his or her agenda, the homework is on this website. It remains consistent each week.

Thursday folders go home every Thursday with graded papers in them.
Any D's or F's should be signed and returned the next school day. You can keep the other papers.

Please make every effort to read with your child at least 20 minutes every day.

About the Teacher
My name is Marissa Morris. I was born and raised in Florida, so I grew up near the beach my whole life. My hobbies include: going to the beach (of course!), reading, and working out. I have been married to my husband for over a year now and we have a son named Landyn who will be five in December and is ALL boy! This is my second year teaching fourth grade at EIS, I previously taught first grade in Pike County. I look forward to teaching your children and getting to know you all better as the year progresses!

If you have any questions please contact me through the office: 379-3350 or email me: You can also contact me during office hours on the Remind App. You can also send me a direct message by clicking the CONTACT ME page - Just fill out the info and submit it!

Classroom Announcements:

If your child loses their agenda, they will be given the paper with their words for the week on them. If they lose their words, you can check the website. I also send a message out every week with the words. Please help your child be responsible by keeping up with their agendas. I do not have enough ink or copy paper to run off extra copies of spelling lists every week. Thank you.

How Homework Works
Homework will be consistent every week. No homework on Friday's. This is to help your child on the spelling test, please have them practice their words for the week EVERY DAY.I will give extra points to lowest test grades for every day homework is completed and turned in.

If you have computer access from your home, please give your child a chance to visit some of these educational websites :)
